For this weekend’s TFC Lists, here are five Nollywood movies you should this Weekend.
1. Battle On Buka Street
After a lifetime of rivalry, two women find themselves at loggerheads once again when they set up food businesses on the same street.
Battle on Buka Street is a 2022 Nigerian comedy-drama film directed by Funke Akindele and Tobi Makinde.
The Film stars a number of A-list actors including Mercy Johnson Okojie, Sola Sobowale, Tina Mba and is now showing in cinemas nationwide.

2. Far From Home
Far From Home follows the story of Ishaya (Mike Afolarin), a charismatic teenager and talented artist from a poor family whose dreams suddenly appear within reach when a prestigious scholarship to the most exclusive school in the country catapults him into the affluent world of Nigeria’s elite.

Its key cast includes Mike Afolarin, Elma Mbadiwe, Genoveva Umeh, Gbubemi Ejeye, Olumide Oworu, Natse Jemide, Ruby P. 3. The Perfect Arrangement
Tade, a free-spirited scion of a respected political family, is living her best life and without a care in the world. However, things get complicated when she develops feelings for Chidi, a fast-rising politician who also happens to be her EX and Cheta, her best friend. As if that wasn’t bad enough, Chidi and Cheta are brothers.

The Naz Onuzo’s direction is a 2022 movie for Inkblots production and can be streamed on Prime Video.
4. Tango With Me
Tango with Me is a 2010 movie written by Femi Kayode, produced and directed by Mahmood Ali-Balogun and starring Genevieve Nnaji, Joseph Benjamin and Joke Silva. The film was nominated for 5 awards at the 7th Africa Movie Academy Awards and follows the story of a newly married couple as they journey through self-discovery and healing while dealing with the aftermath of a traumatic event on their wedding night.
With 103 minutes of screen time, Keith Holland has cinematography credit and is currently showing on Netflix.

5. The Blood Covenant
This is an inkblot production that follows the lives of Eddy, Jite and Tunde, three ambitious young men in their late twenties struggling to make it in life. Tired of being looked down upon by the rich, they embark on a relentless quest for the big life, chasing easy money, fast cars and fame; willing to do whatever it takes no matter what it costs them.
The film stars Tobi Bakre, Shawn Faqua and Uzor Arukwe as the three young men and features stand-out performances from a powerful ensemble.
