Well, it is about time. With the release of ‘Sista’ just a month away, Nollywood lovers have been clamouring for the first glimpse of Biodun Stephen’s latest film.
Finally, the director of Breaded Life has unveiled the first look of the much-anticipated movie in the form of a very brief, very exciting 50 seconds teaser, which finds a single mother of two in a situation where she will be forced to face her past.

The big question, every movie buff, should ask is: how far will this single mother go to protect her children from her past?
The film, co-produced by Stephen’s Shutter Speed Projects in collaboration with A3 Vetement Films, will follow the story of a single mother played by Kehinde Bankole and her quest to shield her kids from her own past in the riveting story of love, betrayal and sacrifice.
Whilst this teaser gives very little away in terms of plot, there are plenty of key moments to pick out – In her troubling moments, Vicky (Kehinde Bankole) went on her knees asking God, her warrior, to fight for her; as a young lady, Vicky enjoyed being in love, however, everything changed when she had to go through the struggles alone; Vicky’s ‘late husband’ (Deyemi Okanlawon) is alive with another woman (Bisola Aiyeola) in his life; Vicky told her children that their father is dead; With the return of her ‘late husband’, Vicky vowed not to tell her kids that their father is still alive; Vicky denied knowing her ‘late husband’ in the presence of their children.
TFC earlier reported that the film’s poster bears the tagline, ‘The Past Comes Crumbling’ and features stills with Kehinde Bankole, Deyemi Okanlawon and Bisola Aiyeola on them.
“Sista’ will also feature Tope Olowoniyan, Chimezie Imo, Ronke Oshodi Oke, Chiamaka Uzokwe, Chris Iheuwa, Adeoluwa Akintoba, Blessing Jessica Obasi, skitmaker Adedamola ‘Adeherself’ Adewale in her Nollywood debut among others.

With an amazing theatrical run for her previous works, A Simple Lie and Wildflower, Biodun Stephen’s latest film is expected to reflect a strong message for women with a great deal of pity.
“#SistáTheMovie is a film specially made for you, Sister! It will tug at your heartstrings. It will connect to your core. It was made with you in mind.”
But, with the teaser not teasing us with full hints at the storyline, there is still a lot to anticipate. Maybe Biodun Stephen will bless us with another glimpse. If not, we do not have any choice but to find out the story behind the story when ‘Sista’ finally lands in cinemas on August 5 2022.
