Nigerian film director and producer of award-winning movies, Biodun Stephen has confirmed the filming of the sequel to the 2021 comedy-drama movie, ‘Breaded Life’.
The filmmaker disclosed this via an Instagram post on her official handle on Sunday.
In the Instagram post, the acclaimed filmmaker added on-the-scene pictures from the ongoing production with the leads from the 2021 movie – Timini Egbuson, and Bimbo Ademoye.
The caption to the post reads: “We are doing it, again… together!”.
The lead actor of the 2021 comedy-drama, Timini Egbuson, also shared pictures via his Instagram account confirming the production hinting that the sequel will be a blockbuster.
‘Breaded Life’ is a drama-comedy that follows a misunderstood but bratty young man (Timini Egbuson) who falls in love with a bread seller (Bimbo Ademoye). His mother (Tina Mba) however vehemently decries the situation. His life with the bread seller exposes him to a life in the underworld where he gets arrested. This sets him down a war path with his mother.
The movie stars MC Lively, Bisola Aiyeola, Timini Egbuson, Bolanle Ninalowo, Adedimeji Lateef, amongst others.
After the release of the movie on April 16, 2021, ‘Breaded Life’ raked in about N10 million in the opening weekend, N32 million by the second week and a total of N88,860,057 in box office earnings.
In 2022, ‘Breaded Life’ ranked 5th in the top 10 most-watched movies on Netflix Naija.
